About the PTA
The Elizabeth Haddon PTA has
a strong history of positive involvement in school
life. It exists to advocate for children and work
with teachers and administrators to strengthen
and enrich the school experience for each student.
There is an impressive degree of involvement
from a broad range of parents over the course
of the school year. In recent years, membership
in the PTA has grown and countless parent volunteers
have donated their time and energy to PTA sponsored
activities in the areas of fundraising, enrichment
programs and spirit events.
Parent volunteers have freely shared their expertise
in a variety of areas during our Noontime Enrichment
program. One of the programs offered during this
time is actually a concentrated version of our
yearlong Bookworm program, which publishes books
written by Elizabeth Haddon students. All books
written by our “Bookworms” are placed
into circulation in the school library for the
duration of the student’s stay at Elizabeth
Haddon and are returned to them upon graduation.
Our students, with the help of parent volunteers,
also publish their own newsletter, “Lizzie
News.” The PTA also sponsors many family
“Spirit” events such as the Ice Cream
Social, Hayride and Spaghetti/Bingo. None of these
programs would be possible, however without the
fundraising arm of our PTA which runs events such
as our Fall Fair, Wrapping Paper and Note Card
Sales, and the Book Fair.
Overall, the PTA plays a vital role in the life
of Elizabeth Haddon School, enriching the experiences
of children, parents and teachers. It is a school
where real collaboration is a daily reality.
